Cornell spin-off Glycobia becomes McGovern Center incubator's first tenant/client

Glycobia, a Cornell biotech spin-off that is developing better ways to manufacture protein-based drugs and therapeutics, has become the first tenant/client of our member incubator the McGovern Family Center for Venture Development in the Life Sciences.

In local news coverage, center director Lou Walcer was quoted as noting that Glycobia might otherwise have been bound for Boston, where its board chairman resides, but now plans to double its staff over the next year in the Ithaca area. Other local coverage profiles the incubator itself.

The company's cofounder is inventor Matthew DeLisa, an associate professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering.
