Elements of executive budget reference incubation, acceleration, venture financing

Attached to this post are pdfs of the "agency presentations" from Gov. Spitzer's 2008/09 executive budget covering NYSTAR and Empire State Development. The Governor's recommendations for both these agencies make reference to business incubators, business acceleration services, and certain venture-financing initiatives. Under the system in use in New York State, the executive budget sets the default parameters of next year's budget. The Legislature may pass amendments which are in turn subject to approval or line-item veto. Incubator managers are encouraged to download and consider the attachments.
