Amai Tea and other successes at Artisan Baking Center Kitchen Innovations incubator

Amai Tea and Bake House, a graduate of the CWE/Artisan Baking Center Kitchen Innovations incubator, was nominated as one of Time Out New York magazine's "Best of" for 2008. This firm was with Kitchen Innovations for a year as the entrepreneur grew her wholesale business, now located in Manhattan. She has been invited to do a 1-hour demo at Macy's Cellar during March.

Another graduate, Heavenly Soufflé, won the Prepared Foods magazine Best New Product award of 2007. As part of this award, the company was given a grant to be donated to a charity of their choice. The entrepreneur chose the incubator as the recipient, which will use the funds to purchase portable induction cooktops for the kitchen.

Current tenant Roni Sue Shoppe continues to manufacture all her chocolate products at the incubator, with finishing work at her store at the Essex Street Market in lower Manhattan. Former tenant Ivy Bakery is thriving in her shop in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
