NY Times visits the Entrepreneur’s Space incubator in LIC, Queens

The New York Times has an excellent story on how the kitchen incubator at our member the Entrepreneur's Space in Long Island City, Queens, is helping cooks, bakers, and caterers launch new businesses that will join New York's vibrant private-sector marketplace for specialty foods.

The Times story describes how the Queens Economic Development Corporation has taken over responsibility for the kitchen incubator from the Consortium for Worker Education, which had launched the program some years ago.

The story quotes kitchen incubator expert Kathrine Gregory, who has managed the kitchen since its inception, several of the entrepreneurs benefiting from the program, and Seth Bornstein of Queens EDC. Not stressed in the story is the fact that the Queens EDC, with support from the New York City Economic Development Corporation, is also adding office suites for other incubator tenants on the second floor above the kitchen.
