We are pleased to announce that the Peyton Hall Incubator has joined BIA/NYS as our newest member. This incubator is operated by the Shipley Center for Innovation in partnership with the Department of Purchasing/Risk Management at Clarkson University.
Opened last July, the incubator occupies parts of three floors of Peyton Hall, a structure on Clarkson’s former campus in downtown Potsdam that once housed the chemical engineering department. It has been completely rehabilitated for use as a high-technology facility serving startups based on Clarkson-owned intellectual property or those started by independent entrepreneurs throughout the North Country.
Given Potsdam’s proximity to Montreal, the incubator also targets companies from either side of the Canadian border exploring operations on the other. It also hosts particpants in Clarkson’s highly selective Young Innovators Program; these are students who grant the university equity in their startup businesses in exchange for tuition waivers.
We warmly welcome the Peyton Hall Incubator to membership!
