Clean Energy States Alliance cites NYSERDA clean-energy incubators as among seven exemplary programs nationally

The six clean-energy incubators sponsored by NYSERDA (the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) have been recognized as among seven “exemplary programs” nationwide by the CleanEnergy States Alliance, a national nonprofit that promotes renewable energy and energy efficiency.

For more information, see the CESA announcement and pages 13 and 14 of the report State Leadership in Clean Energy (link to pdf). Of particular note is the table showing that NYSERDA’s investment of a little over $5.3 million over three years has helped 94 client companies (some but not all of which are physically resident at our member incubators) develop 48 new products, raise $74 million in private capital, and leverage $20 million in non-state (mainly federal) government funds.

All six of the NYSERDA-sponsored Clean Energy Incubators are either operated by, based at, or otherwise closely linked to business incubators that are members of our association (see summary table here). We warmly congratulate both our members and NYSERDA for this national recognition!
