The Business Incubator Association of New York State, Inc., announces its 2013 annual meeting for Friday, June 7th, 2013, at The Tech Garden, a succcessful and widely acclaimed incubator operated in downtown Syracuse by CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity, the regional business partnership and economic-development entity for the Central New York region.
An important theme of our meeting will be student entrepreneurship, and its interplay with business incubation. As host to the multi-institution Student Sandbox, The Tech Garden is one of our member incubators that has most aggressively pursued this strategy, but we will also hear from other incubators pursuing similar strategies statewide.
In this connection, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Anthony (Tony) Collins, President of Clarkson University, will moderate a panel of four innovative student programs from around the state spanning undergraduate, MBA-level, and graduate/postdoctoral student entrepreneurship.
We are also pleased to announce that our lunch speaker will be Dr. Timothy Killeen, the president of the Research Foundation for SUNY, and vice chancellor for research of the SUNY system statewide.
A complete agenda is attached after the break following the registration form. Please also thank our sponsors, The Research Foundation for SUNY, GrowthWheel, the CASE Center Incubation Program, The Tech Garden, the Central New York Biotech Accelerator, Syracuse University’s South Side Innovation Center, and supporting organization UVANY. Updates from our members in the region and tours of the CNY Biotech Accelerator and SSIC will be available to those who sign up as part of registration.
