Two student entrepreneurs at Clarkson’s Peyton Hall incubator place in national entrepreneurial honors society competition

Blue Sphere industries and North Shore Solutions, two businesses started by then-undergraduates and mentored at our member Clarkson University’s Peyton Hall incubator, were recognized as runners-up for the National Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Sigma Nu Tau entrepreneurial honor society. For more information, see the university news release.

Matthew Turcotte, the founder of North Shore Solutions, was the first participant in Clarkson’s Young Entrepreneurs Program through which the unviersity receives equity in a student startup in exchange for free tuition. This and other strategies for student entrepreneurship will be discussed in a panel on student entrepreneurship moderated by Dr. Anthony Collins, Clarkson University’s president, at our annual meeting on June 7th.
