Thermal Gradient, a venture-capital-backed developer of a microfluidics-based molecular diagnostic system, has graduated from the Rochester BioVenture Center incubator program, according to a news release from our supporting member High Tech Rochester, which operates the center. The company will retain certain operations at the incubator.
During its five years in the incubator program, Thermal Gradient has signed a collaborative development agreement with Toronto-based biosensor firm Axela and raised multi-year funding from the National Institutes of Health for development of HIV diagnostics. The company is expanding and recruiting for several high-level technical employees. For more information, see the HTR news release.
