NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering & NYCEDC open Urban Future Lab in downtown Brooklyn, new home for NYC ACRE and other activities

The NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering (formerly NYU-Poly) and New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) officially opened the Urban Future Lab, a new space for business incubation and acceleration in downtown Brooklyn’s MetroTech Center. 

The Urban Future Lab will house the New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Resilient Economy (NYC ACRE), a NYSERDA-supported clean energy incubator run by our member NYU-Poly incubator programs, as well as aspects of the PowerBridge proof of concept center, a NYSERDA-sponsored commercialization project managed jointly by NYU-Poly, Columbia University and other regional institutions.

Separately, in its current newsletter, NYC ACRE reported that its tenant REGEN Energy Inc. closed a $7 million B round.
