Rev: Ithaca Startup Works announces acquisition of Push Interactive, from first wave of tenant/clients

Push Interactive, one of the first tenants of our member Rev: Ithaca Startup Works, has been acquired by local custom software developer GORGES, Inc., according to news releases from Rev and from Cornell University, one of the downtown incubator’s three collegiate co-founders.

Push Interactive, developed by recent graduates of Ithaca College (another Rev founder), provides Bluetooth “beacons” that allow retailers to interact directly with visiting customers. According to the news release, the acquisition was catalyzed by Rev entrepreneur in residence Brad Treat. Rev’s leader Tom Schryver also coordinates the state-recognized Southern Tier Innovation Hot Spot consortium.
