CortecNet and EpiBone gain START-UP NY approval for residency at newly expanded SUNY Downstate Advanced Biotechnology Incubator

Of the latest group of 16 companies approved for the state’s tax-free START-UP NY zones, about half will leverage the facilities or capabilities of our member incubators.

Two life-science companies, CortecNet Corporation and EpiBone, Inc., were approved for tax-free residency at the SUNY Downstate Advanced Technology Incubator in Flatbush, Brooklyn, where Governor Cuomo announced the opening of the third and final wing, bringing total square footage to 50,000.

Also hosting newly approved START-UP NY companies are New York University, the University at Buffalo, and Binghamton University, all of which maintain active membership in our association. At NYU the approved companies are physically located at our member incubators. At the two SUNY campuses, the new firms are either in the campus incubator or in one of several other nearby structures approved under START-UP NY.
