Keystone for Incubating Innovation in the Life sciences Network (KiiLN), a nonprofit accelerator aimed at assisting early-stage biotech startups in New York City, has joined BIA/NYS as our newest member. KiiLN was an awardee in last year’s Growth Accelerator competition managed by the U.S. Small Business Administration. KiiLN was created by a group of former doctoral and postdoctoral students at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
KiiLN has also announced a partnership with BioLabs New York, a wet-lab coworking space planning to open in Manhattan as part of a national network affiliated with Cambridge Biolabs, a coworking and contract research organization. When the location of BioLabs New York is announced, KiiLN will have a physical space from which to operate its programs. BioLabs New York was the winner of a $2 million grant from Empire State Development as part of the latest awards cycle of the Regional Economic Development Council process.
We warmly welcome KiiLN and its partners at BioLabs New York to membership!
